Button ID help

New to this forum......Found this button and several others detecting in Jersey the other day. Can't seem to find anything about it on the internet. Does anyone have any information on this they could share with me? (Measures approximately 3/4" in diameter)

I searched Google and found a company with the same name and also in Philadelphia as on the button...

I tried to pursue that name further in that context- but to no avail. Not sure why I can’t find anything related to this!

I searched Google for in the 1800's for a J. & A. in Philadelphia and found Carlisle Weekly Herald (Carlisle, Pennsylvania)09 Dec 1840, Wed "...They went into co-partnership under the firm of J. M. & G. W. Brown, for the purpose of transacting a General Commission and Forwarding Business. They also have take the spacious Fire Proof brick Warehouse..."

Unfortunately, I can't find what they actually did! My a different company.

This is proving to be harder than I thought. Thanks again. I will see where that takes me.
Now I’m even more determined and curious about this.
