I was told by Bill Quick, who was a very widely-read Nederland, Texas historian, that a man whose name I can't remember found a coin out there. The man is long dead, and Bill died not long after the original post in this thread was made.

The only other artifacts I've heard of that were recovered here in the 70s, besides the ammunition and powder, was a traverse wheel from one of the barbette mounts, square nails, a spur, and the remains of the retention wall, all at Redoubt A.
