canister shots from cannon

pretty interesting as to how the canister shots were effective seemed like they would make a mess and traveled aways it seem.
I don't know if anyone has seen this but just found it and wanted to share .

They were just like gigantic shotguns. Very nasty but very effective.

we have some areas around here that we have found rifle bullets but wonder if they would shoot the cannons anywhere I would love to find a cannon ball .
maybe I'm saying if they shot the rifles surley they would have shot the cannons also but I take it they didn't shot them as often as the rifles . there was really no real fights here in western md not like Hagerstown and Gettysburg anyhow . just small camps and fort Cumberland . gosh there is so much I wanna find lol. guess ill just sell the house divorce the wife sell the kids on the black market and hit the road till I find stuff lol.
just kidding I would just give the kids away .
