Metal detector find civil war button?

image.jpeg found this while metal detecting also found three 1798 large bust cents and 1770 British coin. But I can't seem to find this button using Google

I think you have a Washington inaugural button there. That is an excellent find! You might want to post it in the What is it section for a definite identification. What Is It?

On First sight , I thought George Washington Inaugural..

Seem's to have been bent , but has GREAT detail , I never dug one 'they are mostly found in the NE US.

Most Go as Banner Finds IMO 'Maybe depending on the Type'

WI 12, A, B , C, or D. (depending on size Should be 35 mm & the # of Border Marks.

12 =49 Marks
12-B=54 Marks
12-C=72 Marks.
