I think you have a pretty good idea about this bullet in your post. Civil War .69 caliber Minie ball. Lots of different ones where made. IMHO its a .71 for an imported CW musket. Its listed in mason & Magees book as 323

Found this baby in a Massachusetts cornfield. We don't find them too often. I know nothing about bullets. Any information about era, type, rifle it was used with, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'M thinking it's a 69, cal (Dia .688, Length, 1.13 ,Weight in Grains 821. ) Cone Cavity .

Imo The measurements could be slightly of for a Bullet that's been in the Ground for over 150 years.

I"ll post the measures but as Davers said, it got damaged after so many years of plowing so it will not be exact.

Ok so length is ~25.80mm, diameter is ~17.5mm
