Old bullet mold?

Found this today. No idea what it is, but if I had to guess, maybe an old bullet mold? It has 4 little "wires" coming off the top of it. Any ideas? IMG_20170531_160905.jpg

Not a bullet mold. Can't make lead bullets with a lead bullet mold. Is it hollow?

That makes sense. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Yes, though it is heavy, it seems hollow and has small silver wires coming out of the top. It was found in a spot where mining claims were filed in search of a long lost Spanish silver mine
