If you were to miss an episode, this would be the one. Hopefully, next week will be better.

Wasn't real Bad. I do know the announcer is going to get on my Nerves.
I was hoping for someone Different

Cool on the Silver coin find, Though I have a question.
Confederate silver. Silver ? Low Quality ?
it really looked more like Copper by color out the ground to me.
Of course I know nothing of Confederate silver coins.

Either way it Doesn's prove the Gold was there, Just that a Confederate Solder was there,
    Which we already Knew.

    No real proof.

But if they had found Gold, I would have Called them Liars & Tuned out

Gary really Did come off as a Newbie

    ==================================

That name "Kevin Dykstra" also seemed extremely familiar to me. I did not recognize him so it probably was not from another show, so that made me wonder about seeing him here on TNet.

I thought the same thing about the name Dykstra. Then I remembered, Lenny Dykstra played baseball for the Mets and Phillies.

I was stuck at work, so it was on as basic background noise. What I saw was absolutely horrible. Bad (REALLY bad) acting, the most annoying announcer ever (he ruins everything he touches for me, hes like nails on a chalkboard) and more stupid, modern finds passed off as old

Lets hope (on this one) they only repeat the facts once or twice. Not a thousand times like they did on Oak Island.

I watched it and probably won't until or unless they really find something which they won't.

They lost me at the end when they talked about "The night Lincoln was assassinated..." Ok seriously, they are going to try to tie this to that? What did Lincoln find out that the CSA found an old Templar stash that had been melted down to make CSA coins and he was going to recover them, but JWB assassinated him to stop him from recovering it? SMH.

We should play a drinking game, anytime they say the word "probably" we should take a drink. They had to have said it over 20 times. Probably means we don't know so we are going to make **** up.

Love Oak Island but they are losing me with this fluff and Templar BS and this show has lost me with all the speculation already.

Well after watching the finale of "Sink All Your Money Into Oak Island", it went right into the new show about Confederate Gold in Lake Mich. "And there's a curse?" The only one I can figure is the stinkin' announcer came over from Oak Island for this show and brought the same silly format. Having trouble with the premise of all that gold getting there and the fact that they were running around and found very little. Drayton was very unconvincing and the coin, looking a bit like can slaw to me. I didn't see any markings on it but I wasn't there. Guess it was not a surprise that Marty wants more before he gets on board. Think that the KGC hid the gold and Davis had some but not that much with him when captured. Oh well, something new to beat up on, let's see what they don't find!

Well, I just finished watching (via DVR and skipping feature). I have to agree with jeff of pa - the "...the announcer is going to get on my Nerves!" Unfortunately, the "announcer" has already gotten on my nerves! At this stage of the game - his voice is no different then "fingernails on a chalkboard" that immediately gets a "skip forward" on my DVR. Here is my problem - am I prepared to go the route I have with Oak Island? DVR all shows, skip through 55 minutes of the show for 5 minutes of new material. I set my DVR for the series but not sure how much I will be able to take.
