That area is one of the most heavily metal detected places in the US. Every time they tear out more landscape, folks go in droves.

Also the Confederates Never made it across the Susquehanna at Harrisburg.
The Defense Burned the Bridge.

It is possible a few Confederates Crossed the Bridge that used to Cross at Herndon,
But I've only Read Rumors.

Most insist Camp Hill was the High Water Mark for the War

8 miles from Fredericksburg could be on the battlefield park at Chancellorsville, I lived there for 40 + years and at one time the place was a treasure trove.
but most of the area has been built out .
