Small cannon ball or large grape shot?

Sorry I don't have a pic. First off these were not found relic hunting they were stumbled upon. We were bulldozing some land about a mile away from the Tar River here in NC and found 3 of these in the mounds of dirt we pushed up. The diameter is about 3.20" which would be very large to be a grape shot. I won't know how much this thing actually weighs until I put it on a scale at work tomorrow, but an educated guess of anywhere from 4-6lbs. The closest thing I could find to it on a civil war artillery site was a 6lb solid shot. The problem there is the diameter is 3.57" for that .37 more than what I have. Can anyone help?
