Need help cleaning silver coin

So heres what ive got.

I used a baking soda paste and you can see the damage that followed. The front of the coin was completely brown before the paste. It did remove some varnish but im afraid it took some metal with it because some of the letters are gone.

Any advice on cleaning this coin would be greatly appreciated. I do not have a rock tumbler nor a system for electrolysis.
