Eating Meeting Next Saturday Night April 21

How does everyone feel about have an eating meeting Next Saturday night at Williams, Top Hat, AJ's or some other place. We need to discuss times and places to hunt and to just enjoy the fellowship. I would also like to discuss a family picnic and hunt. I will try to bring a door prize, nothing fancy but hey it will be something, however small.

Sounds good! Always fun to have dinner with friends and chat about hunting. What's say we try Williams? We haven't been there yet.

I'm in if noobs are welcome (and if I can make it)

That is if I can walk by then. Don't let anyone tell you hunting isn't exercise. I'm sore in places I didn't know existed.

OH sure, DE. Come on and join us.

Dixie says the CW reenactment is on Saturday at Fred's. Some of ya'll may want to go and watch. I don't know what time, but would think it's earlier in the day. Maybe you could call him if you are interested in going. Hope it doesn't rain on them.

Yea! The heavy rain they said we were going to have has now been changed to just a tad of rain...so the creeks shouldn't be rising. lol Let's hope the good Lord see fit for you to be there, Possum.

I had company come in, had to entertain I hate I missed meeting you guys, maybe on a hunt soon.

I did get in two hunts earlier today though, both old home sites. One was completely buried in a pasture. A friend and I found the dump area, stuff like oil can lids, lawnmower blades, old broken plates and soda bottles. Lots of glass mixed in with any target. Only interesting find there was a buckle off of an old pair of suspenders or overalls. I guess the hunt was entertaining for the cows, as they would come watch, get bored and leave, and come back later to watch again. So much for the bovine attention span.

The other had a well defined rock foundation and even what I think was a cellar pit. Problem was it was so overgrown with trees and privet that there was literally no room to swing a coil Even walking around was very difficult, and I was claustrophobic just being in that dense of an area. The landowner told us the old homesite had been hunted before, so maybe you guys have been there. Nothing but a Ball jar lid and a copper plumbing elbow for our efforts.

I think there are aluminum can bits on every square foot of this earth. My detector won't burp a low tone at them unless they are very close to the surface. Dug a lot of those today.

Again, hate I missed you guys -
