Re: Looking for help getting started in Georgia
Hey guys. I live in Covington, actually, right off Hwy 11 just south of Social Circle. I am totally new to all of this but would love to team up with some locals to go hunting. I don't even have my equipment yet! Been ordered but still waiting. I'm dying to get started. If anyone would like to buddy up in the area just let me know.

Re: Looking for help getting started in Georgia
Well guys, I finally made it to the promised land, Dahlonega, Georgia. It's beautiful up here in the mountains. Lots of creeks, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, hills, lakes and gorgeous views. Anyway, I'm researching the rivers and creeks right now and plan to do some gold prospecting with my Garrett Master Hunter CX3, over the next week or so. If any of you are in the area and want to partner up, let me know. I have a good detector, a shovel and lots of knowledge about where to find gold around here. I also know of a very promising creek nearby, that has some old, dry banks, if you dont want to get your feet wet. All I need now is a gold pan kit (pan, vial, suction bottle, tweezers) and access to a shower. I'm a little strapped for cash right now, so I'm willing to trade my knowledge and location info and supply all of the food in exchange for panning supplies (a gold pan kit costs around $30) and shower access (motel room, nearby home, etc.). I'm currently traveling and living in my car and am used to sleeping in the back, but free showers are always a pain in the butt to find. If you have a motel room in the area, that would be perfect to use as a headquarters. I'll probably be here for another week, so feel free to send me a personal message if you're interested. Jeff
