I've seen a few post on this, but thought that it would be easier to start a new topic. There is still an active treasure club in Hermiston area.
Contact Al Hansen 541-922-0360. He says that they have about 40 members and one claim on the John Day river. Their website is pretty outdated and they don't appear to advertise. I am going to their meeting on 9/23 to check it out.

There were about 10 people at the meeting. Their website is now updated also, http://pnthassociation.org/. I'm still undecided, looking at their shedule of events they are somewhat into metal detecting but at the meeting all that was talked about was dredging rules and their claim on the John Day. :dontknow: It looks like the next meeting is Oct. 28th. I think they said it was going to be in the Tri Cities, I'd have to call to make sure.
