No where close to my record. 23 CWI boxes with zero keepers. On the 24th box in the last 3 weeks i just found my first keeper(if you want to call it that) a 2003P that is it. Now I am just searching boxes to prove a point, the coin processing company in my area searches for silver. It is the only explanation.

Shake, I went thru a bunch of CWI boxes over the summer, all skunks, felt the same way. Got back into the game with 2 boxes 2 weeks ago, hit good with 27 keepers in one box! Other box nothing but marked coins. Keep 'tryin - AMC

One of the drawbacks (if you want to call it that) to this board is the fact newbies come on here and see all of the great finds people make. It's made to look like all you've got to do is order a box of halves & you'll suddenly be covered in Ben's & Walkers. The truth to the matter is that it can be hard work, time consuming & costly (gas money, time spend, etc) CRH'ing. It's a great hobby but like all hobbies not every part is rewarding.
A topic such as this one along with the topics of finds of treasure should be read by all people wanting to start out in the hobby. Now if you are doing it to supplement your income that's a whole other topic.......

Or you are just buying someone else's dumps. Not sure where you are located....maybe you are going through the piles of dumps from Jackson Metals (is that the right name) who claimed to have gone through X million halves last year and pulled all the silver.

Although it is possible for the coin processing place to do it, I find it highly unlikely.

I totally agree. You come on here and CRH looks so easy. But you've gotta realize most people are not going to post about skunks, or low finds. Kind of like when people go to the casino, they never talk about their bad trips, always the good ones.
Did 11 rolls of nickels today, only found 5 pre-60, BUT one was a '35D Buffalo. ;D

put me in the record books too. matter of fact...i'd be willing to guess you could put ALL of us on that list! LOL!

i don't think anybody on here ever said this hobby was easy. and i doubt many of us on this board could make a living doing this. it's really a hit and miss thing. all i'll say about it is that when it's good it's real good and when it's bad...well, you know. but i will tell you this.

KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!!! the silver's still out there. people are turning it in every day. now...GETCHOO SOME!

and p.s. GOOD LUCK!
