ok ...one more time i'll try this.......i went out this morning to get some dimes before the snow and the arrival of some relatives....i was looking for dimes to keep me busy and i only had time for one bank stop. had to ask if they had any halfs first.....they did...$5.50 in loose
1-1969d
picked up $150.00 in dimes
1-1942 Merc (my 3rd so far this year) and a possible 1979d filled die obverse on the "d"....thought this one was another silver after edge searching...turns out it was just a white powdery substance on the dime....but i date checked to be sure....here's some pics...tell me what you think

Great news about the new bank. That type of error is pretty common. Small area like that easy to get grease in the die.
Good job on the silver.

You got to love them Merc's

I would keep the 1979d even if it is common because it was your first one you found.
