I stopped by some of my nearby branches after work today to pick up pennies and ask about halves. Asked the young teller at the 2nd branch i stopped at and she said she had lots. The writing on one roll sent me out to the ATM to buy the 150.00 she had.
Got out to my truck and opened a few rolls. 9 of the rolls were mostly bicentennial halves.Opened one roll and poured out a solid roll of 40%ers. Opened the ends of a couple more and saw the same thing but waited till I got home to open the rest.
I was expecting all 40%ers from the 6 remaining rolls but the first roll had a 1963 Canadian half, my first. Was a little surprised to see a few clad halves mixed in too, but then i started finding a few 64s,then a 1954-d ben. That more then made up for the clad mixed in.
Anyway the totals are
105-40%ers
6-1964s
1-1954-D Ben
1-1963 Canadian half
Was just at this branch 2 or 3 weeks back and they had none. Only goes to show, timing is everything. HH-MM2
