What a day ! Dropped off 2000 halves at a dump bank that treats me like dirt, and they took me out of the end of the line,grabbed the coins and, gave me my cash with a smile.
First bank I go to I get $15.50 in loose halves. All but one was silver.
2nd bank I go to I'm met by a pleasent greeter who asked what I needed. I told her halves and she immediately collected the halves from all of the tellers.
Didn't even have to wait in line. Only one silver. This teller also told me that she would order halves for me. Took my number and said she would call as soon as they came in. I didn't even ask.
Every bank I hit the tellers were pleasent. What a surprise.
