Since I work at a place that also has a casino, with thousands of coins going around every day, I have accidentally become a CRH. (people will dump their oldies just to gamble.)

Its been a year and a half now, and, apparently, most of the coin rolls I've gotten in the past are coming right back around. (and I've already taken the goodies out) The local bank (we only have one), makes people roll their coins, we get them from the bank, and then they seem to come back around. In the last few weeks, I've seen the same names on rolls over and over and over.

The nearest bank besides our local one is 25 miles away (one way).

Do people make a "monthly" trip for coins if you are in a situation like this? Or, do you get enough out of it to make it a weekly thing?

Mostly, we get quarters and dimes, as we only accept so many penny rolls at a time in the casino.

Mostly older silver - never old enough to screech, but, lots of silver.

One week I got 4 rolls that was all silver, with a fifth roll that had all silver except for 2. (I'm pretty sure it was part of a little family collection).

The oldest, I believe (I'm trying to see them in my jar as I'm typing,) is a 1923 dime) (either a 1923 or 1928 - pretty worn).

I've also gotten a bunch of wheaties, but not so many, because we will only cash in 10 rolls of them at a time ($5.00 worth), and if its a weekend, we will get overwhelmed with them. (our bank is not open on Saturday).

Here's a tip - don't put any lures in the jar with your coins - OUCH!

Roadtrips are not uncommon. My job takes me on the road quite a bit. I actually hit several banks a month across a 4 state area.

I'd pick up in another town and dump in yours. I've been picking up misc rolls from the branch downstairs and I mark the rolls with an stripe so I know if I get my own back.
