This ole gal needed to be rescued and I was glad I could help her. She did her time and I am sure it was honorable time!! I just wish I could read the date. All I can tell is that it is an "S" mint.

The vein is still yielding some silver.........today's total.........

40% - 41
64's - 14
Franklin's - 6
Walkers - 2

63 Silver Keepers = 14.02108 oz

FiddyCent had a huge day!!!! WTG FC..... :notworthy:. His numbers........

40% - 99
64's - 28
Franklin's - 8
Walkers - 2

137 Silver Keepers = 28.38632 oz

It is a shame that they cannot make some kind of liquid that will recover the date on silver like on buffalo nickels. This would really help on those slick SLQ's. Wonder how many SLQ 1916 and 1918/17 slicks there are out there.

there is a product called "nic a date"....some sort of caustic. you apply it to where the date was and it brings the date back . only works on nickles though. some people on here have a collection of just nic a date buffaloes. not a bad idea as the dateless ones are worthless anyway.

LJ, the S mintmark is distinctly different after 1928 on all coins, Walkers included. Compare your unknown to an example from each and at least you'll know if she's an Old Lady or a really Old Lady.

Nice haul as always!
