Hello, picked up some old faded rolls and was pleased to discover they were as old as they looked. Quick date check over a few rolls revealed they were wrapped in 1971. Out of the 13 old rolls, I got 3 1930's, 39 1940's, and 49 1950's. Broken down to percentage, 7 wheats average per roll. Out of a box of pennies in 1971, one would expect 350 wheats!

Thats a pretty sweet find, at least you didn't have to seperate copper from Zincolns. Were the wheats in pretty good shape?

Well, all the pennies were wrapped up all those years, so the paper wrappers tarnished all the pennies. They look just as normal as wheats found today.
