I scrounged the halves from about 6 banks, including 2 new for me ones.
In that hunting, I got
District of columbia quarter
2009 puerto rico quarter
2007 half
brilliant 2001 half
But the best find this week came from my grocery store in change,
a practically brand new looking 1964 dime!
I went back and bought the roll of dimes from her drawer, but no more of those.
That seems to be the nature of this hobby. The stuff comes from the last place you look, or when your not even trying, or from the mere $10 in halves from all the teller's trays.
One new bank I tried today was a B of A and the nice teller said they just shipped off a $1000 of them out, and nobody ever asks for them. Hmm, unhunted bank to put on list.
Another new one - the teller had just gotten 32$ of halves from the grandkids a grandmother deposited. they were still in the ziplock bag. that is where the 2007 came from. And of course, that was the last bank of the day.
So, a whole lotta halves with almost zilch. oh, and a 1983 half with a very faint FG intials.

Stu,
I keep the banks filled with a steady flow of those halves. So you are going to find plenty of them. The dime is another matter. I try to find as many of those as I can. You got a real good looking one
Great photos too !!

Yeah, I received a 1964 dime from the cashier at McDonalds. You just never know where you're going to find something cool!
