Greg,
You are making some fantastic scores !
Last January I posted asking if anyone CRH in Canada. I had the feeling that the hunting would be good since all of the coins have silver edges.
I guess I was right.
Great photos too

I was jealous until yesterday when i pulled my first 1959 canadian silver dime. Neet coin. You guys have it pretty good if you are pulling that many silver quarters and dimes. Now if you could only get half dollars and dollars. There out there.

I wish we still used them as currency as much as we did back in the day.It really sucks because the clad halves are a little smaller than the silver ones.

Very nice finds there Greg. To be clear though, the 50% dime you found was a '68, right ? For it won't stick to a magnet; as the nickel (metal) version of the '68 dime will. Had it been a '67 dime, there is no way you (or anyone else) can tell if it's a 50%er or 80%er.

Please confirm and thanks.

The 68 does not stick to a magnet so its 50%.It sucks that they made both 80% and 50% for 1967 dimes and quarters.you loose out on the possible 80% 67,s

Is it legal in Canada to melt silver coinage?

Yes it is.I know a few people who buy upwards of 3 or 4,000 face value of silver and then go to Toronto to the smelter.
