today's 4 brinks boxes.....got one good box

my 4 brinks boxes came in today. three were skunks but one did have some silver in it and it also had a mess of impaired proofs. somebody's proof sets were busted open and cashed in. here is the take with pics.

Congrats on the silver, especially the Walker. I haven't found one of those in almost two months. they seem to be getting scarce. I, too, have been getting skunked a lot lately. HH

Can't believe all the proofs found in circulation.!!!

Nice score. Seems like those are in great shape. I pulled 14 last month in various states of impairment.?

the proofs really amazed me too mojo. i have never found that many in one box. guess silver has gotten so high folks are bustin up proof sets and cashing them in now. i just don't understand why someone would crack open a proof set. i guess kids or maybe someone got them as gifts or maybe they were passed down by a family member

Those proofs make a mundane box a little more fun.
Proofs have been all over here as well - 3+ rolls worth last month.
Sorry your H-town visit wasn't more productive.

yea tim there is alot of hunters in that area. one of the tellers asked me "what are all you guys looking for with these halves?" "seems like soon as we get any halves in somebody is in here asking for them" the tellers were nice though. not once did i get the ol line "do you have an account here?" also went in a few banks that sold proof and mint sets...first time i had seen that in a bank.

Hey SC good to see you broke out of the skunk streak. I also like the proofs and am starting to accumulate quite a few. I have a couple rolls of them plus a ton in 2X2 that I like. I experiment on them trying to find something that will make them look nicer but have never been able to clean them up enough to improve them.

Happy to hear that you are making a comeback after the last boxes. I've been getting the proofs as well in my boxes. I give them to my son who collects them.
I'm finding the Walkers are getting hard to get as well. Only got 3 last month.

thanks rich. one thing i have noticed about the walkers is i usually get a few each week. the barbers are what i never see around here. i am approaching my one year anniversary of hunting and i have only scored one barber, and it did not come in a box, a teller pulled it for me
