As much as I hate finding foreign coins in my rolls I like some of them. This one seems pretty cool.

Not anymore! Franc is no longer a legal currency. No bank will exchange one for Euro or dollar. Nice coin though. If you are in Europe, some collecters are trying to get "old" currency. Don't know of any here in us though.

French Polynesia is not in Europe it is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean East of New Zealand and to the best of my knowledge they have not converted the Euro. A currency exchange site still lists the French Polynesian Franc as a currency to exchange that is current and lists 100 Francs as approximately $1.15 in US Dollars.
