Last night i made a list of local banks and credit unions with addresses and phone #'s. The first bank I called had $130 and the next bank had none. I decided to go buy the $130 just to be safe. I also got $70 in dimes while there that got my nothing The halves yeilded the following:

1977 S Proof
1964 90%
1968D 40%

First silver halves of the year. It's about time!

Then later in the afternoon I called more banks and two banks had halves. The first bank I went to said they had over $1,000. I got excited. Then the teller said a guy usually drops off halves every day and that he searches them. BOOOOO, sounds like I have some serious competition here!

I went to another bank that said they had $250. Same bank as the previous, just a different branch. All of the halves had markings on them of one kind or another. Squat from that bank.

Oh well, at least I got 2 silver pieces today.

Right on, Brian! Glad to have you in the silver half club! Hopefully you won't have to wait another six weeks before your next finds.

I was inspired by your results and got $100 from the casino where I work and...[drum roll]...nada! Oh well, not every time can be lucky.

Congratulations on the silver halves. ;D I'll tell you calling the banks ahead of time works very well. I'm glad the teller told you that the $1000.00 in halves were already searched. That would have really sucked if you bought all of them and then found that out.
