Time for a spot inventory

Lazy days off are great for a quick check to see how my collection/accumulations are doing. Sometimes the totals surprise me.

Wheats - 2871

I'll try to make it to 3K this year. I wonder which coin will be magic number 3000...


Pre-1960 nickels - 2692

Of that total 311 are wartime silver. I have solid date rolls of most years/mintmarks except the tough ones.

I'll bet some of my fellow roll searches have totals that blow mine away!

And today's $35 in nicks yielded one keeper -

Very nice! How long have you been collecting/roll hunting?

I used to check my Mom's change every day when I was a kid (1970s) but didn't get into roll hunting until I moved to Vegas in '85. I go thru spurts where I'm really into it then I back off for awhile.

Now that there's a place where we can share stories it's a lot more fun. Didn't everyone feel they were the only ones doing this until they found this forum?
