Sounds like a good day on the nickels.....Buffalo's are always a good find. I found a 1937-d with my detector today. It looks like it was burried the day it was made....would have been maybe an AU grade.......but unfortunatly they come out of the ground dark brown.
Wow, I don't hear of people getting old nickels with their detectors very often. Very nice find on your Buff. It's still too cold here to get any detecting done.
Yeah, it's an odd day when I don't find a war nickel. I won't complain though with the two buffalos, even though their dates are worn off. So far this year with nickels I have gotten $1,100 worth and found 10 war nickels, 26 foreign, and 5 buffalos.
That's crazy! I go through a lot of nickels...I've yet to find any buffalo. I've only found one war-time. Well...not complaining, I find my share of keepers. Great job!
