I have only had a problem with tellers once with the coin roll issue. So I figured out a system that seems to work.

I have an account with Wells Fargo that I only deposit coin rolls into....nothing else! I can't imagine a bank complaining about me only depositing money into. I do withdraw after the balance reaches a certain point, but I do it online into my ING. account, which it is then transferred into my normal bank account at Bank of America (I have this set up to automatically withdraw from Wells Fargo on Monday, and automatically deposit into Bank of America on Tuesday) . I also try not to deposit more than $200 at a time. If I need to deposit more than $200, I will do multiple deposits at different branches. I NEVER GET ROLLS FROM THIS BANK!!! The reason for this is 1) chances are that I will get rolls that I have already searched 2) the tellers have never questioned me, and I think this is from a steady in flow of money....it's what banks like to see!

I get all my rolls from all of the other banks EXCEPT WELLS FARGO. The banks are always more than happy to get rid of halves. I keep the request for dimes, nickels, and pennies down to a minimum. Usually I will go $50 in dimes, $20 in nickels, and $10 in pennies. Most of the time they don't have to go to the vault for this (they hate going to the vault) If I want more, I just hit the next bank. I have started asking them if it would be easier if I call in ahead of time, but so far all have told me not to worry about it.

Now that I have figured out where all the banks are in all of the towns that I go to are located at ( I have a business card for each so I can call to see if they have halves)), and where all the Wells Fargo branches are, I can turn a lot of rolls without drawing any attention to my self. There have been weeks where I have turned $1000 a day in just halves, and no one seems to have even noticed.

I also took the advice of one of the forum members, and made it a point to be as friendly as possible, and to try to find some kind of common interest to get on a personal level with them.

Another great source of coin rolls is the Casino's. They are also more than happy to get rid of rolls.

I try to get coins from most banks that I come across...Halves are the easiest as the tellers usually laugh and say they are glad to be rid of them. I opened a B of A checking account and deposit all my rolls there. It's nice because the merchant teller is the one who takes large coin deposits and usually has no line! I told her exactly what I was doing and she said to bring in as much as I wanted...Never thought that the hard part would be getting rid of the rolls!

Yeah, lately depositing coin is becoming a joke around here and nearly impossible.
