I was able to find $230 in halves this morning. Out of that I got 12 40% and 1 90% Kennedys.
On the silver bargain buying trail...I found these:
4 1893 Columbian Exposition half dollars.........paid $4.25 ea.
These Franklins for $4.00 ea. 1953D, 1954, 1954D, 1960 Proof, 1963
1 Ellis Island Commem. Silver Dollar 90%....$9.00
6 1987 Constitution Commem Silver Dollar 90%...$9.00 In original boxes (uncirculated)
8 1988 Olympic Commem. Silver Dollar 90%...$8.50 In original boxes (proofs)
5 1982 G. Washington Commem. Half $4.00 (uncirculated) in original boxes
6 1982 G. Washington Commem. Half $4.00 (Proof) in original boxes

Searching the bargain bins and displays of the coin shops is working great. The owners of the shops that I have been buying these from told me that they were still making a profit because most of this is stuff that they have had for awhile.
The Franklins and Columbian Exp. were in huge 50% off boxes.

One of the shops also had a nice sized box of Morgan silver dollars that were in ok condition for $8.50 ea.

The silver is out there at current cost or below if you can find the right shops.

good luck in your hunting

Some pretty good purchases there Bill. Looks like you're stocking up for a well-timed bulk sale. Hope silver prices keep rising.

My best bet for silver recently has been wartime nickels but even they've been no-shows this month. Today's $35 -

1941
1942 (non-silver, drat!)
1947D (2)
1948
1955D
1957D
1958D
1959D (2)
