Well my 3rd box was a flop as far as silver goes. Nada. I did find a 1916 British penny. A 1979-S and a two tailed half.

The tale of the two tailed half. I'll call the 2 sides: the master and the insert for want of anything better. Whoever made this cut the head off of the master which shows when looking at the edge. When looking at the reeding, you can tell its not as wide as it should be. I'm not sure if he then hollowed out the coin before installing the insert or just glued it on. It does seem to be inserted. If he would have done it right, he would have hollowed it out without cutting the edge like that. Then if the depth was correct it would be hard to tell how it was altered. They did orient the sides correctly and the total coin is about the correct width. Anyway its interesting. I think I'll hold on to it. Stick it with the other oddities I've discovered coin roll hunting.
