How often do you find a 1776-1976 s half 40%er?

There are both silver and clad "S" mint bicentennial halves.

I have found a grand total of 3. 2 clad and 1 silver.

Wow, only 2 total in 72k? These are definately 40%ers as they are completely silver on the reeds. 3 in 3k rolled is kinda rare then. It completely caught , me offgaurd when I saw the silver rim and when I flipped them to hopefully see a '64, I saw the 1776-1976 S. Thanks for the comments. HH. Bryan H.

I have been coin roll hunting for 2 months now and I have found 2 1976 S halves, one copper-nickel and one was 40% silver. I have probably searched $4000 in halves. Mintage for the silver 1976S was 11,000,000 for uncirculated and 4,000,000 for proof.

HH!

I've searched ~$150,000 in halves since March and have found about 10-15 of the Bicentennial S mint halves, zero of which were silver.

I found one two weeks ago (28th box of halves). It was a little stained, but clearly silver.

Been searching halves since 2009 and have searched over a $260,000 in halves and I have found 2 silver bi-cents. They dont come around that often. I actually have found more 1925 Stone Mountain comms than silver bi-cents.

Out of 17 boxes ($8,500) I have not gotten no bicentennial proofs let alone a silver one

about 300K searched 3 total 1976 S Silver - 4 1976 S Non silver

Even less 1 1970 S in that total

I had one 1976 S silver last week with about a 8 month gap between the last one.

Searched a buttload of halves in several states. I've found (3) 1976 S copper-nickel and (1) 1976 S 40% silver.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck

After reading all of these comments I cant believe I found 3 silver Bicentenials in 3k worth of halves. My only guess is that somebody broke into their proof sets and used them at face value. They were all within 100 rolls of each other. What was even more unbelievable is that those were the ONLY silvers I found in 6 boxes.... I have another 3k ordered for next week. Hopefully I can get some 90%ers in them... I think I have a lousy area to CRH in. I have only found 1 90%er all year and 8 40%ers so far (3 of which were the 1776-1976 S 40%ers). HH to all.
