Gold Coin ID

NEED HELP!

I am trying to ID a coin's origins from just a description. Here goes -
GOLD... With a bust on the obverse and some form of a triangle shape behind the bust. The reverse has some sort of Weird writing on the back. Probably from 1600's to 1800's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do not have the coin and have never seen one like it. Does anyone know or have any ideas as to where I might find more out about it?

I would if I knew how. Maybe Marc or Jeff will do the honors and possibly add it to the "shipwrecks" also. After all, this coin came from one .
