I'll give you a silver bar for 4 halves. Make it one each 1970, 1970-S, 1987-D, 1987-P. All in uncirculated condition, of coarse. ;D ;D

Or maybe 4 1878-S halves

i actually did do that when I was a kid (mid 80's) and had something like 30 bars after some time......thanks for reminding me of that....I like bars....especially when I'm thirsty. ;D

what would the conversion rate be for 40%'s?

I guess you never expect silver to get up to $50/oz. I'm holding on to mine for awhile. Even picking up a few silver rounds when I can get them for near spot.

Ikes had more silver years than just bicentennial. Also includes 71S, 72S, 73S (both silver clad and regular clad), 74 S (both silver clad and regular clad).

Hey goldinmypan, not a correction, just an addendum. :) I was only aware that tehre were more years, because on my first roll hunting expeditions I got a 71S silver clad. Keep tearing that paper!
