Box #1-1964(ender) 1962

Box #2-1951( It has a hold drilled in the top of it) :icon_scratch: 1946 wheat penny, and a 1976-d penny struck on a dime planchet.I will post a pic of it if anyone is interested :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch:

Box #3-Skunk.

I have 2 boxes of halves coming tomorrow and 4 more boxes of dimes. HH all.

I dont know anything about coins, but it looks like some kid just used a belt sander on it.

How do you know it was struck on a dime planchet?? Is that a common error?

yeah, some kid did that so it could be used in a vending machine and counted as a dime.. That would explain how it got in a dime roll.

Looks like the penny on dime planchet is actually a regular penny with the sides grinded down to make the penny worth 10c in the vending machine business, cool find though!

The first wheatie I ever found while metal detecting was a shaved 1947-S cent the size of a dime. It looks pretty much like this 1976-D.
