They were only sold in mint sets and were solely minted in Denver. Only 2.1 million of them were made.

2,150,000 minted - only for mint sets. There were fewer D's that S's that year and none without a mint-mark.

EDIT: Yup, Cody beat me to it.

Maybe there is a 1970 No D that's ultra rare... And maybe it's also doubled on Kennedy's lips, has No FG on the reverse, and was struck in clad not silver. Hang on a sec, I think I might have one ... Oh wait it's a 1971. Is that a good date ?

You have a 1971?! I have only heard stories about those, although most of those end with suicide. God...I have '71's!
