My 11/3/11 bag netted my first Liberty (1941), my first Franklin (1963), 10 90% Kennedy's, and 32 40% Kennedy's!!

There were also approximately 20 halves that had a 'mirror' finish - except for Kennedy's head, which appeared 'frosted'? Could these have been 'gem' or uncirculated at some point? If so, my guess is that they now have no more value than a regular half of the same grade/wear?

The frosted ones are more than likely proofs. If the mint mark is an "S" then that's what you have.

Wow!!!!!!! Nice finds!!!!!

I agree...those mirrored halves are cameo proofs, I think. They are my favorite half dollar finds aside from silver.

Even though my local coin dealer says they are only worth face since they have been circulated, I keep everyone of them that I find, and put them in cardboard flips.

Congrats on the finds!!!!
