Went to the bank 12/29/2011 to cash in a box of pennies and stuck to the magnet were 3 steel pennies and a wheat penny. Once I filled up the bag I asked if I could purchase it. The tellers didn't have an issue with it so I left the bank with the $50 bag. My average is 13 wheaties a box but this bag had a suprise in store for me. In total I found 678 wheat pennies, 4 of which were steel. The find had quite the impact on my books as well. This probably the biggest highlight for me in 2011.

I thought about that too but didn't have any dimes to fill up the machine to check. I'm checking halves today. I'm the only CRH to dump halves at this branch so I'll know how many have been dumped there from the bag refill difference each time.

huge wheat score indeed! You should have asked to buy all the bags off the counter :-)

I was hoping for a 1909 but no dice. 1910 was the earliest.
