i went to the bank with my dad to pick up a bag of halves. we get the bag and the teller points out a 1967 in the bag. then she says "i just sold a few dozen of those for $1.50 each" :o :o :o I just about s*** my pants!!! she then explained that they are silver, which is why she got so much for them. :BangHead: Definition of facepalm right there. of course i asked if she had any more, which she didnt. that sucked. the bag was pretty decent tho. 3 90% kens and 6X 40%. my best $1000 so far. would have been better if i had talked to a different teller though. has anyone ever had a similar experience? the teller wast super young either.

Happens all the time. Lots of tellers collect or are on the lookout. Many won't volunteer that fact. I've also bought from tellers right on the line.

I just bought a silver dime and quarter off of a teller for $5 last week.
