Decent find today
First time poster, long time reader
hit up a bank today with low funds. All they had was $30 in halves, not rolled. I figured why not and bought em. At first look, it was a dud. No silver edges. Then, as I poured through them, there it was; 1976 S Kennedy Proof. haven't seen a proof in a long time.

Pretty DECANT find! That is one nice proof.
1/100 of an American dollar is a cent. It is NOT a penny. The word penny is used by several other countries, such as Great Britain, to denote their smallest denomination. In order to be numismatically correct, you must use the term cent to describe the American coin.
