Nice SOLID score in Belleville, MI with update

I worked at the Belleville Area District Library today. I had time to visit 2 banks one gave me $5 in cents with no halves on hand. The second (Chase)gave up $5 in cents and $70 in customer rolled halves. In the car I peeked into one roll, it had 1 90% and 3 40%. I saved the rest for Tanner to open. We ended up with one solid roll and the others averaged 3 or 4 each. We ended up with 41~ 40% and 4~90$%.

It is out there as Rileyboy says,
Keep on searching, Dad and Tanner

PS I thought I bought $80 worth of halves but when I was posting the photos, I only had 7 rolls. A few hours later I went out to my car and found the 8th roll on the seat of my car it contained 15~40%. So we can tack on 15 more to our total.

the one roll says 1965-1970... were there any 1970 halves mixed in? those are from mint/proof sets only in case you did not know...

There were no 1970's but Tanner was hoping as he searched that roll. I thought I bought $80 worth but when I was posting the photo I only had 7 rolls. A few hours later I went out to my car and found the 8th roll on the seat of my car it contained 15~40%. So we an tack on 15 more to our total.

Nice Score! It definitely is out there. I'm sure your son had a blast opening those rolls.

I get to Belleville perhaps twice a year. That is why I gave out the location so we can share the wealth. Good luck. The teller said she had the rolls for a few days. When I checked a roll in the car an found out that they were good ones I went back in a bought $50 in quarters and $50 in dimes ~ all skunks, but its was worth a try.

Keep on Searching, Dad and Tanner
