I am from Lancaster County. Lots of old folk homes around. How about you?

Not bad finds for your first batch of nickels, I generally find a V-Nick once every 20 boxes of nickels, to give you an idea of how rare they are to come across. :)

My banks don't have half dollars. What type of coins should I focus on for silvers? Dimes or quarters?

In general dimes are better because they have next to no collector interest while quarters have been searched by people looking to get one of every state. However, I've seen people get huge scores with quarters just as easily as dimes.

Try ordering your halves. If they tell you no, try dimes, or customer wrapped coins of both, since there are lots of Amish that would deposit silver.
