Hard to believe it's almost 2007. Seems like just recently we posted January totals and I started the "Oldest Coin" thread. Ah, time...

Did another $800 today and got just four more 40%ers (67x2, 68x1, 69x1) and it's possible this could be my last search of the year. After Xmas means back to work for me and prepping for the madness that is New Year's Eve in Vegas.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!

(Don't forget to tally those year totals!)

Congratulations with all of your finds. I live in Northeastern Nevada. I have yet to pull any 40% or 90% halves out of any $10 rolls I have purchased at the local casino's or banks. All of these rolls have either been hand wrapped or casino wrapped. My best luck has been with H.F. String & Son Federally wrapped pennies, nickels & dimes. The only 40% half I picked up happened to be in a teller's tray at the local Bank of America. Otherwise, I have been skunked. Also every casino in town has pulled their half dollar slot machines. They are a thing of the past. I need to invest in a $500 Federal Reserve half dollar box & see if I have any luck.
I am getting tired of pennies / every year they are getting harder to see! I am going to stick with nickels & dimes. My best find for 2006 was a XF 1940 mercury dime I got in change from a local grocery store & a XF 1951 quarter I found metal detecting. I always enjoy your stories. Happy Holidays.

Good job, Immy.
As 2007 is sneaking up fast, this seems like a good time to say "thanks" for your expertise and informative posts, not to mention your encouraging remarks.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
Happy New Year and HH,
Bob (on vacation in Wisconsin)
