Have been so busy since New Year's Eve that I haven't gotten out to search my fave casinos, so I forced myself to pay a brief visit today. Looked thru about $400 and got three 40%ers (68x2, 69) to break the ice. Finally got my first South Dakota quarter today too. Was planning on my first search being my usual box of nickels but B of A only had 2006's. Bleh! Maybe next week.

I need to make a trip to a casino....I think there are a few half dollar machines just across the Ca. State Line in Pahrump...Figure winter would be the best time to go...

One casino near me, Treasure Island, still uses half dollars for some of their table games, but they won't let you buy any from the cashiers, only at the tables. I tried bringing about $60 in halves to cash in once and the cashier had a fit because she had to count them out by hand, their counting machines wouldn't take them. Oh well. They also just switched from coin operated machines to tickets for almost all, if not all by now of their machines (been a month or two since I last tried). So no more late night nickels/quarters searches without finding another casino, which of course will require a longer drive if there is still one that is coin operated.
