Its not finding the Walker that is special.

I found my second Walker and five 40%ers today in a $52 lot of loose coin machine dumps and a few rolls from another bank. That isn't what it's special.. It's the condition. I've never handled a Walker with this much original detail anywhere. Let alone out of circulation.. I'll try to snap a decent picture that will serve its condition justice.

Oh, and I respectfully disagree that finding a Walker isn't special. Found my first two yesterday and when I saw the standing eagle in the teller tray I was completely jacked. I stayed jacked for 6 hours. Pretty cool to me!

I love Liberty Walking halves. I picked up one in about the same condition at a LCS that they had in the junk silver tray. It's my favorite half in my collection. Has some really cool toning on the reverse. Maybe I'll post a PIC of it someday. Anyway, nice coin. Especially for face value.

Very nice find!

The best-looking design for any coin, in my opinion. Followed at a close second my Mercury dimes.

Very nice!

Just curious - what are "loose coin machine dumps"? Unless it's in a reject tray, isn't every coin machine dump in a bag, which I would think would be a much bigger amount than $52.

Nope there are several or atleast two at different banks I go to that the halves or large dollars go into a seperate bin. That bin holds a good $50-$100 worth and then you empty them into a canvas bag or some other container.. I'm just glad they didn't see it while they were "rechecking the count". Lol

I thank you everyone for your comments. I love it and am defiantly keeping this old girl.. ;-) I agree with the previous posters. Walkers and Mercs are top of the line US coinage to me.. Now if we could only get that proggie Roosevelt off the dime and get lady liberty back where she belongs..
