Has anyone ever bought an "unsearched" coin roll? I just bought one on eBay that has a 1946 dime on one end and a 1902 Indian head on the other. I figure ill break even with those I just want to see how "unsearched" rolls do. Its shipping now and ill post the results later on this week. POST YOUR EXPERIENCES BUYING UNSEARCHED ROLLS.

The crimping on the IH couldn't be more obvious that it was crimped by hand. I presume the dime and IH will the only thing of value that you'll "find".

That's never made much sense to me. Why would one buy an unsearched roll and usually pay a premium, when they could just go to the bank and buy a roll at face value?

Total scam, there's always low value coins on both ends, and many times they're faked as well. Real wrap hunting is good outside conus where coins are not recirculated very often. I find 10 or so silver quarters a month exchanging for rolls.

I was going to take a chance on the so called unsearched rolls, but the bids kept going up and so every one I bid on I lost. I was only going to do this one time for fun. Let us know how it turns out, good or bad.

The same "what if I find something good?" or "just to have fun" is why casinos make so much money. It's a scam everyday. Think of the probability of those "unsearched" rolls ever occurring.

Hey Teller and Codes, pass the popcorn.

I bought one "unsearched" half roll with a '68 showing once- as soon as I got it I could tell it wasnt unsearched the crimping was ok but not machine crimped- but the good thing for me was the total I paid was melt for the 40% and the $9.50 in clad and free shipping so i didnt lose - I tried sevetal other times to get another one but the bid went way above the melt price so it wasnt worth it to me-

as everyone else is saying...total scam...they are looking for someone that want the "excitement" of looking thru a roll, and place the enders there so you feel you have already made out...the best thing to do is go out and buy some rolls from the bank...those have less chance of being searched

I realized the super low chances of it actually being unsearched. Just for fun I asked the seller if he honestly thinks I will find anything. He said honestly I have no clue (no). But then he said he will give me a suprise in my package so who knows!

He claims he bought a bunch at an estate sale.

I want all of you to know i am just trying this for fun! If it works out good i might buy from the same seller and not risk a different seller. Im really risking like 5 bucks after the value of the enders.

Just the fact that the wrong denom coins are in the rolls tells you they are fabricated. Total scam. Yet eBay is cool with it cuz they're making their cut.

I search bank rolls for fun - no downside risk!
