How do/can you tell if a coin is gold plated?

Heres a pic of what I found today- 1993 next to a 2009 NIFC I found- it doesnt look spray prainted but i have no idea as ive never seen a gold plated coin before

Looks plated to me; I know I'm giving you the obvious answer here, but it will appear gold.
