I just joined this forum a few days ago and learned about CRH for the first time. I tried CRH for the first time today with 20 rolls of cents, 1 role of nickels, and 1 role of dimes. I was hoping to get at least one wheat cent, and a pre 1970 nickel and dime . I ended up with 2 wheat cents (1950 and 1958) and 2 dimes (not silver) and nickels pre 1970 I also got one 1975 Canadian cent. If I do this again I think I'll stick to cents.

I stick to cents!
I've done over 2000$ in pennies and have sold 2550 wheats (regrettably) and just started sorting copper. Sort you copper pennies out. Congratulations on the wheats!
Hope you don't detect to much junk ;-)

Thanks. I saved everything 1982 and earlier. I also sorted them out into pre 1960, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980-1982. I picked out the best from each year post 1982 and will look through the 60s and 70s coins to see if I am missing any years. I might as well start a collection while I am looking for wheat cents and earlier.

I would not keep any 1965-1970 dimes, and not keep any 1960-1970 nickels. There were plenty made, and have no extra value. Halves made from 1965-1970 are 40% silver though.
