Hit the bank today, bought 140 in wrapped rolls brought in by a customer. Been reading about the big scores, finally hit one.
2 x 65
2 x 66
14 x 67
18 x 68
9 x 69

Plus 4 proofs: 1963, 1969, 1976, and 1980.
My first Ben and its a proof! Gotta find out what it's wort
The rest of the halves contain a lot of 71 and 76 that look like brand new coins but are D mint mark. Any value in them when they're in superb condition like that?

Way to go! Nice score!

I very, very rarely find customer wrapped rolls of halves (unless they are someone else's dump). Gotta be in the right place at the right time.

Nice score boss driver! I don't think the 69 is a proof but the other three look like they are. Anyway, nice pile of silver.

Figured these would be too. 3 of the rolls were skunks...including the first one I opened. Figured, oh well...but worked out real good.

nice finds!!! the other 1971 and 1976 are not silver and worth 50 cents.

So, no value (other than 50 cents) no matter how good they look? Almost feel guilty about dumping them.

There simply isn't a market for impaired proofs, if they even have one scratch on them no matter how small, people won't pay extra for them. I save proofs just because they look cool. They will never be worth much if any more than face value in the future either since they are not in the sets and millions and millions of them were made for collector purposes only. I save them all because if I don't, i'd spend the money on something else haha.

Non silver proof halves need to be in pf65 cond to be worth more than 50 cents. Non proof cupronickel halves like the 1971 and 1976 need to be at least ms 60. Having said that you could try your luck on eBay. A sucker is born every min.
When you search enough boxes/CWR you will notice that one can very easily assemble a collection of Kennedy halves 1971 to present P &D in AU 50 cond.

Shame about the scratches on the Ben, looks to be a nicely struck one, those fetch pretty decent premiums, most of the proof bens have little to no cameo on them. Of course since its got scratches on it its just worth melt.

Fantastic haul of Silver! The Ben proof is quite a nice find for face bud.
