Beautiful Indian head tonight.

Got my oldest and best condition IH tonight out of a box. Box was actually pretty bad. Only produced 8 wheats and a bunch of Canadians.
Has a full Liberty but the reverse is kinda dirty. What do you think condition is? I'm thinking f12

Wow, that's a very nice coin right there! I don't know how to grade but I'd say you're a solid F12. Very cool old coin, nice find.

Awesome coin! It's not the L variety - one of the easiest ways to tell (even if u can't see the L) is to look at the Indian's bust. On the L variety, the bust has a sharp point. All others have a rounded bust (if you see a pic of both its easy to see the difference). Also, yours looks like a copper-nickel type. It's worth a little more than the bronze. You can tell by the weight.
Yours is probably VF. Most people tend to undergrade Indians. Most Fines won't have a full LIBERTY - they will have part of all the letters, but the letters aren't usually full. Another case in point: I bought a 1908S a long time ago - I thought it was a vf/vf30. I sent it to pcgs & it came back xf45!

I don't think it's the copper nickel variety though? Aren't those the "fatty" type. This one isn't any thicker then a normal ih

Pretty coin. I'm certainly no grading expert, but from the pics I don't see any way it could be worse than an F12.
