It should weight the same as a real 64 kennedy.... If you have a scale, just weigh them, buster

Do you think you have one? Maybe a magicians 1964 kennedy. Does the strike appear to be rotated?

I don't have one, but I've been offered a '64 at a suspiciously low price.

If I don't find silver it's not because I'm not looking!

Online or in person?

In person I would weigh it and magnet test it.

I say forget the weighing or any other test. Just do a visual and sound test. compare your silver coins to all the other non-silver coins you have. I flick them with my thumb and do it based on sound. Always bring a silver and a clad coin with you, and that way you can directly compare the tone and make sure it's silver.

Other than that, weighing can be tough due to wear. density is better, you can probably do it with some kitchen equipment and a scale

Silver 1964 Kennedy's are only worth $8.36 How suspiciously low is it ?

even if he only wants a Dollar, what do you got to Loose ? I say Buy it.

All 64's are silver

I don't think anyone would Counterfeit a 64,

And it should be very simple to Eyeball real or not,
unless you have never handled silver coins

you have much more to worry about buying key dates, which may actually be faked with the right silver composition and high quality dies. if someone bothered to fake a '64 it would probably look like hell!

So how do you measure a coin's density with this equipment and a scale? And what quantitative numbers are we looking at?
TIA

Take the mass or weight in grams then take the volume with A graduated cylinder and divide the mass by the volume

A 64 half is around $8 melt give and take a bit depending on spot- if you can find and buy one for $4 do it
